Another momento of the Iltis was a thermometer in the form of the SMS Iltis monument. I am not sure who manufactured it - any information on this would be appreciated. It is not an exact copy of the Iltis monument found on the Bund at Shanghai. They both have the broken mast, and the tangled ropes, but that is about it. And  the broken mast was a common funerary symbol found on other German naval themed markers. I have a similiar one, but it does not have SMS Iltis on it (see below). So maybe the one with SMS Iltis was just one of the generic thermometers of a similiar style and just stamped with SMS Iltis to take advantage of the interest in the ship at the time?
